How can we help you?

Establishing a Lab Connection

Types of Connections

1. Uni-Directional Lab Connection: Electronic transmission of test result information from the Lab with results-only interface. The connection allows you to receive, store, and print test results, however, electronic test ordering is not available with this option

2. Bi-Directional Lab Connection: Electronic submission of test orders to the Lab and the electronic receipt of lab results from the Lab

Things to Watch Out For

Connections are Sometimes Denied: The request for a Lab connection cannot be done through your practice to WRS Health. Your Lab is the deciding factor in whether or not they want to establish a connection with your practice.

Cost: Sometimes your Lab will pick up the cost of establishing the connection with WRS Health. However, sometimes the burden of the cost is on your practice.

Time-Frame for Establishing Connection: Establishing a connection between WRS Health and your Lab is a timely process that includes many months of testing. After the connection has been tested, staff must be properly trained before the connection goes “Live” in your practice.

If you are interested in establishing a Lab connection with WRS Health, please contact your WRS account manager.
