Bamboo Health Onboarding Process Guide for WRS Health Clients
WRS Health has partnered with Bamboo Health to offer seamless integration with PMP Gateway, enabling our clients to access PDMP (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program) data directly from within the WRS Health EHR system. Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Onboarding Process Overview
WRS Health clients can benefit from Bamboo Health’s PMP Gateway integration, available under the following scenarios:
- Funded States: Integration costs are covered by state funding.
- Non-Funded States: Integration fees are the responsibility of the practice.
Onboarding Process for Funded States
1. Access the Customer Connect Portal

- Go to https://connect.bamboohealth.com.
- For practices based in Tennessee, please use Tennessee’s integration forms.
2. Create Your Account

- Click “Create an Account” in the top right corner.
- Enter the required facility location(s) and select all states for integration.
3. Select Funding and Product Options

- Based on your selected states, Customer Connect will display available funding and integration options.
- If integrating for multiple states, you can complete this process all at once.
4. Submit the PMP Gateway Licensee Profile

- Complete the PMP Gateway Licensee Profile and accept the End User License Agreement.
- The request will remain pending until the state PDMP administrator reviews and approves it (typically 2-4 weeks).
5. Receive Your Credentials

- Once the PDMP administrator approves your request, Bamboo Health will provide credentials directly to WRS Health.
6. WRS Health Implementation will confirm the issued credentials from Bamboo Health and will proceed with the setup process.
Onboarding Process for Non-funded States
- Visit the Registration Page
- Go to https://go.bamboohealth.com/ehrrequest.html.
- Select WRS Health as your Primary EHR Software.
- Join an Informational Meeting
- After registering, you’ll receive an invitation to a weekly informational meeting held every Wednesday at 1 PM ET.
- Complete Contracting with Bamboo Health
- Bamboo Health will guide you through finalizing the agreement and integration process.
- Submit Credential Requests
- Credentials will be issued upon state approval, typically within 2-4 weeks, to WRS Health.
- WRS Health Implementation will confirm issued credentials from Bamboo Health and will proceed with the setup process.

To provide timely guidance and support, please include your entity location and any information on the steps they have already completed.
Adding Additional States for Integration
To add more states for PDMP integration:
- Submit a request via PMP Gateway Support.
- Include the following information:
- Web Service username
- Healthcare entity name (WRS Health)
- List of requested states
- PMP Gateway Licensee Profile (provided during onboarding)
Maintenance and Outage Notificationsl
• Scheduled Maintenance: Occurs every Wednesday from 4 AM to 6 AM ET. Notifications are sent only if the outage extends beyond this window.
• Unexpected Outages: Clients will receive notifications from Bamboo Health’s support team.
- For outage notifications, add contacts via PMP Gateway Support.
Important Considerations for WRS Health Practices
- Provider Registration: Providers accessing PDMP data must be registered with their state’s PDMP program.
- User Setup

- Administration: User Maintenance: To use the PDMP Report module, prescribers must select their User Role. The User Role is only for PDMP setup and does not affect any other setups or workflows.
- Administration: Provider Maintenance:
- The user must be a prescriber with a DEA license to access the module. Prescribers must select the Provider is also a Prescriber check box.
- Make sure that the NPI, DEA Number, and License State/Number that you use when registering for PDMP is the same as what you entered in Administration: Provider Maintenance.
- Approval Timelines: State PDMP administrators typically take 2-4 weeks to approve access.
