Self-Pay Check-Out Process
STEPS
- For practices performing laboratory orders at their practice location, CPT codes should be added under the Procedure tab. The added lab orders will then appear in the Current Procedures section.
- During check-out, the front desk will be able to view the added CPT codes under the Patient Claims and Bill section. The prices designated for each CPT code in the Fee Schedule Management will be displayed in the Full Fee column. Additionally, discounts of 20% and 10% will be shown.
- The total payment should then be entered under the Post Payment/Co-Payment to Account section, in the Payment Amount field.
NOTES
- This process is only applicable if 4-step EMR Workflow is followed.
