Adding a CMS Region

GO TO

ADMINISTRATION BILLING SETUP → SELECT CMS REGION

STEPS

  1. Select CMS Region from the dropdown, click SET

Select CMS Region

NOTES

  • Your CMS region is responsible for determining where your Medicare claims are routed
  • Your CMS region assigns your fiscal intermediary, which is the insurance company that process Medicare claims in your area
  • The CMS region sets the Medicare fee schedule based on geographic region
  • Medicare fees within the WRS system are based upon your CMS region
