Update to Patient Messaging
WRS Health has improved the patient’s experience in sending and receiving messages in the patient portal.
Previously, patients would have to access the “old” portal in order to send or view messages from their providers.
With this new update, patients will easily be able to access messaging directly from the home screen of the portal – no redirect required!
Additionally, this improvement is mobile friendly, meaning your patients can message you from any and all devices without issue!
These messages can range in subject from appointment requests to general questions, billing questions, or prescription refills.
Submitting Records and Documents Has Never Been Easier
Your patients can now upload files directly to this message and it would appear in your inbox.
In compliance with ONC, these documents also will be saved in
Patient Management → Comments → Patient Shared Information.
To ensure receipt of patient’s messages, the following setting has to be enabled on a per – user basis:
- Access to internal messaging
- View, Reply, Delete
- Patient Prescription Refill
- Patient Referral Request
- Patient Billing Question
- Patient Clinical Question
- Other Patient Messages
When a patient sends a message to a specific provider, you are able to customize who, in addition to the provider, is able to see these messages. To do this, go to the desired provider, and locate the Provider-Specific Portal Messages line under “Messaging”. Enter in the name(s) of those users that should also have access to the messages sent to the specific provider.
