Update to Patient Messaging
WRS Health has improved the patient’s experience in sending and receiving messages in the patient portal.
Previously, patients would have to access the “old” portal in order to send or view messages from their providers.
With this new update, patients will easily be able to access messaging directly from the home screen of the portal – no redirect required!
Additionally, this improvement is mobile friendly, meaning your patients can message you from any and all devices without issue!
These messages can range in subject from appointment requests to general questions, billing questions, or prescription refills.
Submitting Records and Documents Has Never Been Easier
Your patients can now upload files directly to this message and it would appear in your inbox.
In compliance with ONC, these documents also will be saved in
Patient Management → Comments → Patient Shared Information.
Settings
To ensure receipt of patient’s messages, the following setting has to be enabled on a per – user basis:
- Access to internal messaging
- View, Reply, Delete
-
- Patient Prescription Refill
- Patient Referral Request
- Patient Billing Question
- Patient Clinical Question
- Other Patient Messages
When a patient sends a message to a specific provider, you can customize who, in addition to the provider, can see these messages.
Users who intend to receive messages in addition to the provider must have their account set up in Permissions > Provider-Specific Portal Messages > Add the name of the provider(s) whose messages they want to receive.
If you would like more information, please contact your account manager.
