| Re: | Send Multiple Controlled Prescriptions to the Queue (with Extended Role Support) |
Items in This Release
- Send Multiple Controlled Prescriptions to the Queue (with Extended Role Support)
In addition to mid-level providers, the system now allows:
- Ancillary staff (RN, MA, clinical staff)
- Non-EPCS providers
to delegate controlled prescriptions to the Supervising Provider’s Delegated Prescription Queue using the same multi-select workflow.
This ensures consistent prescription management across all clinical roles participating in the medication ordering process.
What’s new
-
- Users can now multi-select controlled prescriptions and send them to their Supervising Provider in one action.
- This enhancement now applies to:
- Mid-level providers with controlled substance restrictions
- Ancillary staff (e.g., RN, MA)
- Non-EPCS providers
- Workflow now matches the behavior for non-controlled prescriptions.
- Significantly reduces clicks and speeds up delegation tasks.
NOTES
- The supervising provider must be EPCS-enabled to receive controlled prescriptions.
- Audit logs continue to record the delegating staff role and supervising provider.
