WRS Health would like to announce the release of several new patient payment-related functions that have been added to optimize practice workflow. Below is an explanation of these items which are now on the live system.

New Charge Types for Patient Payments

Charge Type has been added to the Patient Account screen. This new feature allows users to indicate a payment as either Co-Pay, Deductible or Co-Insurance as it is being recorded.

Like Co-Pay, the new Co-Insurance and Deductible payment types require a charge be created simultaneously. This allows the payment to be applied to a claim. Just enter a Charge Amount and select checkbox next to it.

Co-Insurance Added to Patient Insurance Info

Co-Insurance has been added to the Patient Insurance Info section of the Patient Account screen. This information can be automatically populated from the patient’s eligibility report.

Co-Insurance information is also displayed in Patient Management on the Insurance Tab.

Co-Pay Total Displayed on Appointment Search

Calculate and display a total of all values in the Co-Pay column on Appointment Search page. To view this information be sure to select the Billing Option checkbox in the Appointment Search dialog box.
