The Delegated Prescription Queue now supports controlled prescriptions. Supervising Providers can review, approve, and send both controlled and non-controlled medications through separate interfaces with nearly identical workflows.

  • Non-Controlled RX Queue – Prescriptions can be sent individually or in bulk across patients.
  • Controlled RX Queue – Prescriptions can be bulk sent per patient (multiple medications for the same patient at once), but not across different patients, ensuring DEA and state compliance.

This enhancement expands functionality while preserving efficiency and oversight for both prescription types.

Key Benefits

• Stay Compliant – Supervisors retain full control over both controlled and non-controlled prescribing, with a complete audit trail of who created, delegated, reviewed, and sent the prescription.

• Save Time – Review delegated prescriptions in one dedicated queue instead of searching through tasks, and have the option to send individually or in bulk.

• Protect Patients – All prescriptions re-run drug-allergy, dose, and interaction checks at the time of sending, ensuring safety before transmission.

• Streamline Workflows – Reduce prescribing delays, improve coordination between mid-level and supervising providers, and eliminate back-and-forth communication.

Feature Highlights

• Dedicated Delegated Prescriptions Queue – Standalone interface to track and manage all delegated prescriptions, including controlled and non controlled medications.

• Bulk or Individual Send – Choose to send one prescription at a time or multiple at once.

• Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Checks – Automated safety alerts (allergies, dose, interactions) run before sending.

• Audit Logging – Every action (drafted, delegated, reviewed, sent) is tracked for compliance, including stricter requirements for controlled substances.
