- Appointment Status Indicator
We are excited to introduce the Appointment Status Indicator, a new enhancement to the appointment scheduling interface. This feature allows users to specify whether an appointment is for a New Problem or a Follow-Up using a simple selection option.
By storing the selected status in the system, this update improves care continuity tracking and reporting accuracy, ensuring a more efficient and structured approach to patient visit management.

Adding the Appointment Status Indicator
In the In the New Appointment interface, select the Appointment Status to specify whether an appointment is for a new problem or a follow-up to a previous visit.
Appointment Status Options
• New Problem
Select this option if the appointment is for a new condition or is unrelated to a previous visit.
• Follow-Up
Select this option if the appointment is related to a prior visit or is for ongoing treatment.
Appointment Status in Appointment Search View
The Appointment Status Indicator is now integrated into the Appointment Search View, allowing users to quickly identify whether an appointment is categorized as a New Problem or a Follow-Up.
How It Works:
- The Appointment Status appears alongside appointment details in the Appointment Search results.
- Helps staff efficiently manage and track patient visits at a glance.
- Ensures accurate scheduling, continuity of care, and proper visit categorization.
By leveraging the Appointment Status Indicator, practices can streamline scheduling workflows, improve documentation accuracy, and enhance patient care.
