We are excited to announce a major update to our EMR that significantly enhances the efficiency and convenience of managing file attachments within patient notes.

With this update, healthcare providers can easily attach, view, and manage important documents such as test results, medical images, and consultation reports directly within the EMR note. This ensures that all necessary information is conveniently accessible within the current note, leading to more accurate and comprehensive patient records while streamlining the documentation process for improved workflow and patient care.

File Attachments in an EMR Note

Previously, providers could only attach files to the patient’s chart within EMR documents. With the update, you can now attach files directly to an EMR note. The new Add More Attachments section has been added to the Attachments tab of an open note, making documentation effortless.

Attachment Options

From the Add More Attachments section, you have the option to:

  • Browse Files directly from your local device and upload them in the current note.
  • Select from EMR Documents to add relevant documents that are already associated with the patient’s record.

If you choose to upload files using the Select from EMR Documents option, you can select relevant documents from the patient’s record.

Uploaded files from your local device will be accessible both in the current note and under the Note Attachments category within EMR Documents.

All uploaded files will appear under Current Note Attachments. You can view any file by clicking the file name.

Files can be managed and removed from the note with ease by clicking the Remove option next to the attachment.

Visibility in Signed and Exported Notes

All attached files will be displayed in a signed note once viewed from the  View Note and View All Notes options. At the same time note attachments will also be sent together with the signed note if faxed or emailed.
